Description: “For more than four decades, my work has focused on translating advances in chemistry and biology into meaningful innovations that improve skin health.” Dr. Ratan Chaudhuri's journey began with a simple conviction: meaningful advances in skin health must be built on science, not marketing promises. Educated in India and shaped by scientific experiences in Germany, Switzerland, and the United States, he founded Sytheon in 2006 to bridge the gap between cosmetic claims and biological reality. His work has led to landmark innovations including Sytenol® A (Bakuchiol), advancing its scientific understanding from a retinol alternative to a systems-level regulator of skin longevity; Synoxyl® AZ (Acetyl Zingerone), a longevity platform centered on the LKB1–AMPK–NRF2 resilience axis; and Synoxyl® MAZ, a category-defining platform for hair protection. Across every innovation, his philosophy has remained unchanged: science first, rigorous evidence, and innovations that deliver lasting value. Today, as Founder & CEO of CuralysMD™ Dermaceuticals, a Hallstar company, Dr. Chaudhuri is advancing clinically proven, biology-driven therapies for chronic skin disorders and healthy skin longevity. With more than 105 peer-reviewed publications, 145+ U.S. patents, and over 400 international patents, he remains deeply committed to scientific discovery, pursuing a lifelong mission to improve skin health at its biological foundation.
