In my presentation to emerging beauty brands, I will outline the essential steps for becoming retail-ready and making a strong entrance into brick-and-mortar environments. I will discuss pricing strategies that balance profitability with competitive positioning, and stress the need for operational readiness, including inventory management and fulfillment capabilities. The session will also explore how to craft a compelling brand story that resonates with retail buyers and consumers alike, supported by marketing initiatives such as in-store activations, influencer collaborations, and strategic sampling. Brands are encouraged to research category trends and identify white space opportunities to differentiate themselves. Finally, I will highlight the importance of building strong retailer relationships, being responsive, reliable, and adaptable to feedback. By the end of the presentation, attendees will leave with a clear understanding of what it takes to transition from indie to in-store, equipped with actionable strategies to position their brand for long-term success in the competitive retail landscape.
