🗓️ 08/01/2024

MakeUp in NewYork is proud to announce the continuation of its partnership with the international trend forecasting and consultancy agency, Cosmetics Inspiration & Creation, for a unique animation: The Forecasting and Innovation Corner (A48) held on September 17 and 18 at the Javitz Center.

For this edition, the agency will spotlight 4 Beauty Trends, host 2 Beauty Talks, and present their celebrated Inspiration Bar, featuring innovative products sourced from all around the world.

With innovation driving the conversation, attendees are invited to book a seat at the Inspiration Bar, where the Cosmetics Inspiration & Creation team will decipher cutting-edge product concepts gathered from around the globe. Guided by the agency’s Chief Inspiration Officer, Leila Rochet, the Beauty Talks will unite industry leaders to explore the transformative trends shaping the future of beauty.

The agency will showcase the 4 Beauty Themes that will influence 2030
“In a world shaped by instability, rising intelligence, and shifting desires, beauty is shedding its former boundaries. It’s evolving into a dynamic, adaptive system — intuitive, responsive, and endlessly reconfigurable. Consumers are no longer just choosing products; they’re navigating emotional, functional, and expressive states. As we approach 2030, beauty will be animated by new forces, with innovation and global influence driving the next era.”
Leila Rochet, Chief Inspiration Officer of Cosmetics Inspiration & Creation

Cosmetics Inspiration & Creation invites attendees to explore 4 key Beauty Trends and gain insight into the transformative themes redefining the beauty landscape:

1. Beauty Rewired – Adaptive Beauty Systems
From synthetic biology to AI, beauty is becoming smart, sensing, and self-evolving.
No longer just applied, beauty is engineered. At the intersection of biology, computation, and material science, we are seeing the rise of adaptive systems: from AI-driven formulations to biotech-infused actives and sensorial interfaces. These next codes are not only rewriting how beauty performs;  they’re transforming how it understands, responds to, and evolves with each individual.

2. Rooted Realities – Beauty in Balance with Nature
Beauty is shifting from extractive to reciprocal - inspired by ancestral knowledge, biodiverse systems, and earth-centered design.
As consumers seek deeper meaning and connection, brands must tap into this desire for grounding experiences, regenerative sourcing, and soulful storytelling. The future lies in honoring the past, preserving the planet, and reconnecting with beauty’s most essential source: the natural world.

3. Motion-Proof – Beauty That Keeps Up
High-performance skincare and makeup for life on the move. In a world of rising heat, fast-paced routines, and shifting environments, the face is constantly exposed — and expected to perform. This trend highlights the rise of motion-proof beauty: hybrid products that combine longwear, climate resistance, and breathable comfort. From sweat-resistant pigments to barrier-boosting actives, beauty becomes a daily ally; protecting, adapting, and enhancing the face in real time, through every element and every motion.

4. Transformative Touch – Where Pleasure Meets Performance
In the TikTok-fueled beauty economy, performance is no longer just about results; it’s about instant, shareable impact. Sensorial experiences have become the new markers of efficacy: a tingling serum, a tightening mask, a shimmering balm. This cultural shift reframes pleasure not as indulgence, but as evidence of action. Texture, transformation, and theatricality are elevated as tools of performance; turning every swipe, melt, or shift into a statement. Beauty now performs in real time, where sensation becomes the show and results are expressed through the skin.
