Since 2012, the Innovation & Trends Awards have showcased the very best that the cosmetics industry has to offer. Breakthrough ingredients, unprecedented textures, packaging that reinvents gestures: innovations from MakeUp in NewYork exhibitors act as a unique barometer of future trends.
For the 2026 edition, over 100 applications were reviewed by the expert eye of the jury, a record for the competition. An outstanding selection, assessed by around ten international professionals, and displayed right at the entrance of the show.

A two-stage international jury
The Innovation & Trends Awards rest on a simple conviction: cross-disciplinary insight is stronger than a single point of view. Every innovation is first reviewed in Paris, where an international panel of professionals, makeup artists, formulators, packaging engineers, beauty strategists, independent consultants, examines the full field and names the finalists across four categories. The diversity of their views turns evaluation into a true X-ray of innovation.
These finalists then travel to New York, where a dedicated US jury of industry leaders selects the winners, along with two Special Awards.

The Paris Jury
1st step: Naming the finalists
An international panel of makeup artists, formulators, packaging engineers, beauty strategists and independent consultants. Together they review every innovation entered and set the standard, naming the finalists across four categories.
The New York Jury
2nd step: Choosing the winners
A dedicated jury of US industry leaders. On American soil, closest to the market these innovations will enter, they select the winners and award the two Special Awards.

The five finalist packagings, selected from eighteen new products presented in this category, stand out for their applicators and their precise, sensorial application.
